My name is Khalia Willett, I was born and raised in Oxford and relocated to London at 19, I have recently graduated from the University of East London with a 2:1 degree in Dance: Urban Practise. During my last year of university, I reignited an old passion for academic writing, and I really enjoy reviewing/ writing about dance theatre. In the same way that dance can tell a story; when used correctly words can do the same and create beautifully vivid imagery, which is what I am aspiring to do through my reviews.

I believe that being a creative is the most brave and self bearing career one can have in this world.

This is because art is subjective and as an artist you bear your soul, your emotions and your character for all to see and ultimately to make an opinion on your art.

It is the beauty of discovery of one’s self and surpassing your limits that make no one artist the same as no one mind can be the same as any other.

Capturing art in literary forms is of equal importance as the physical aspects of theatre/dance performance’s, and that is what I am her to showcase; while promoting the amazing art we have here in London and across the UK.
